March Break Trip – Spain

Students have an opportunity to experience Spanish culture in all its forms during an 11-day trip to Spain this upcoming March Break. Students can admire the country’s bold and unique architecture, from the unfinished Sagrada Familia in Barcelona to the Alcazar in Seville. They can feel the emotive rhythms of the flamenco and enjoy a paella dinner in Valencia. In Madrid, the Royal Palace shows off Spain’s regal side, while the Prado features the country’s most celebrated artists. This trip is open to students in all grades.

Curriculum Night

Have you ever wondered if it truly takes 15 minutes to get from the dance studios to the geography rooms? Does your child’s English teacher actually talk like Hugh Grant? And how often do our math teachers really hold tests?  Find the answers to these and other questions at our curriculum night on Thursday, September 28th, 2017, when you’ll have an opportunity to experience an abbreviated version of your son or daughter’s timetable. Here’s the agenda:

  • 5:30–6:00 p.m.          Timetables and schedules available
  • 6:00 p.m.                  Auditorium “Assembly”
  • 6:15 p.m.                  Dismissal to attend classes
  • 6:30-8:30 p.m.           Modified 2-day class schedule

In addition to our classroom teachers and administrators, there will also be a guidance counselor in the guidance office throughout the evening to discuss university entrance and other issues of concern to parents.

Moving On Up Day – Grade 9 Orientation

Our grade 9 orientation will be taking place on Thursday, August 31st, 2017.

It is designed to help our new students make a smooth transition to high school, and will give them an opportunity to take part in informal activities with their peers, meet some of their teachers, and have their questions answered. They’ll also be introduced to our student council, principal, and vice-principals. There will be a pizza lunch on the lawn, after which students will be given their timetables and have a chance to explore the school.

Check in is from 8:30 am, with the day starting at 9:00 am. We expect to wrap up at around 1:00 pm.
