Terry Fox Walk

Every year the students of Rosedale support cancer research by making donations to the Terry Fox Foundation. Going on a walk through the neighbourhood and holding a barbeque fundraiser allows the school to come together and raise money for an important cause. On September 25th the entire school participated in the 35th annual Terry Fox Walk by walking 3 kilometres through the streets of Rosedale. The goal was $2000, but thanks to our spectacular students we raised over $2900! According to our student body president, Riley, “it was a great experience and I loved working with the new student council team”. On the Thursday before the walk, student council hosted a Terry Fox Barbeque fundraiser for cancer. Everyone was outside eating food, listening to music and supporting the event. “Cheap food, big smiles, and a good cause!” says Quincy, an excited student. This event was a great success and an amazing start to the new school year!
